Then we went on a few carnival rides before slinking to an underground bar, called the Shanghai Tunnel. The time spent at the happy, bright, fun-fest carnival, follwed by the dim, gritty bar was a memorable contrast.
We toasted over Hobgoblin Dark English Ale, played Mrs. Pacman, and pinball, and then Nate and Dio retreated early to their room at the Hotel Lucia (a little wedding gift we gave them). Keith, Mandy and I stayed out and watched the fireworks over the river from the Burnside Bridge. We ran into our friend Sika who joined us for the fireworks.
We went to breakfast at Wild Abandon the following morning and then Nate and Dio hit the road back to Utah.
So much fun! So little time...
